Lunes Lekuak (My Monday Spot)
Ea has to be the shortest-ever name for any village. Ever. Ea itself, however, was not short on surprises. Abandoned mansions, beautiful, crooked things, tower over the main street. Corners hide all manner of oddities, like this crucifix, putting unused wall space to Good use. Old, and therefore too narrow for auto traffic, it runs along the shallows of the cove that serves as the village’s plaza mayor. I repeat, the plaza mayor of this village is a beach! A beach complete with a playground, a couple cafés, and mountains on either side. Absolutely gorgeously special.
Another one outside of San Sebastián...hope that's okay with y'all.
