New Year's Resolutions and Tuesdays
Okay, I have to admit that I still haven't made my New Year's Resolution. And I like to make resolutions. What other opportunity do we have to sit down, reflect on larger goals, and actually set them with a plausible time frame?
Unfortunately, my most recent resolution lasted three years and really didn't come to a certain conclusion. It was a great one, and I highly recommend it:
What would you, 10 years in the future, tell yourself to do TODAY?
This came about when I realized, at the age of 25, that I really couldn't become a professional tennis player. I did some research, and it turns out the oldest person to ever turn pro was 23. Oldest ever. So I thought, what boats will have passed me by when I'm 35? Because, no matter how positive you are, some things really become impossible.
On this note, a good read from a recent NPR piece : "You Can't See It, But You'll be a Different Person in 10 Years"
Which brings me to my point: tomorrow is the first Tuesday of the year. In 2011, I did a different pintxo every Tuesday.
(secreto ibérico from san telmo)
In 2012, I did a different gastronomic recommendation.
(honey from the nearby banks of the Urumea)
What the heck am I going to do on Tuesdays in 2013? Please leave your suggestions below. And feel free to also suggest a resolution for me, while you're at it.
