I don't think you'll find that category of recyclables anywhere else. Never mind that it's obviously the most popular.

 

This week is Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, a conference on everything spirits that has gathered the best and brightest bartenders in the WHOLE country and housed them in a hotel one block from Bourbon Street. Sounds like a good idea, right?

I had the pleasure of hanging out in the back of the kitchen of Boucherie for their Spirited Dinner (many restaurants are doing cocktail pairing dinners during the week of the conference). The five course meal lasted well past midnight, with happy diners (including my old friends Natalie and Blake-hey guys!) convivially crammed into Boucherie's tiny dining room.  Check out the amazing menu by talented Chef Nathanial Zimet.

 

 

Here, a description of the cocktails. These people are doing really creative stuff...and at 70 bucks a head, this dinner was quite the bargain.
